Lovely Headtie!

I purchased this headwrap because I fell in love with the fabric. As a woman of a certain age, I started wearing headwraps back in the late 1960s while in college. During those turbulent times, black women on college campuses were protesting to change our college curriculums to include courses in Africana studies as well as for civil rights. Our current unprecedented times seem to mirror those times in many ways. Many of us also wore AfroCentric clothing, and the gele (which we called the headwrap back then) was an important part of a woman's attire. I'm very happy with this purchase.
