Description

A young child stands amidst a vibrant tapestry of colors, gently cradling a delicate flower. This tender gesture symbolizes unspoken gratitude for life's simple beauties. The air is alive with a kaleidoscope of hues, each more brilliant than the last, representing endless possibilities. The child's wide, wonder-filled eyes reflect hope that blooms like petals reaching for the sun. In this moment, a harmonious symphony unfolds between nature's palette and the human spirit. Joy dances freely, and you can feel the child's deep appreciation for all. Let us remember that gratitude is a powerful force that cultivates endless blessings.

Jerry Lynn

Jerry Lynn’s gestural paintings of Black figures and Southern imagery, such as churches, baptisms, and cotton fields, radiate a profound sense of optimism. Raised in Arlington, Tennessee, Lynn's art is deeply rooted in his religious upbringing and spirituality. Encouraged by his mother, Lynn and his identical twin, Terry, gained early recognition as the collaborative duo Twin in 1995. Mentored by celebrated Memphis painter George Hunt, Lynn developed a colorful, uplifting style. Now creating independently in Dallas, his work often features historical and contemporary Black figures and incorporates collaged elements, inspired by his family's rich storytelling tradition.
