This powerful limited-edition release by Frank Morrison speaks on how we are all powered by our past and shaped by our history. It is reminiscent of the adinkra word "Sankofa" which literally means "it is not taboo to fetch what is at risk of being left behind" and represents the thought that "the past serves as a guide for planning the future".
It depicts a young African American woman dressed in urban attire with natural hair holding two books. One titled "Our Stories" and another titled "Our Future". Her t-shirt features the phrase "You are looking at Royalty". The background is full of graffiti which alludes to the artists' background as a graffiti artist and one quote that reads "Know Your History if Only to Build Upon It".

Frank Morrison
Born in Massachusetts then brought by his family to live in New Jersey at an early age, Frank Morrison was reared and spent his formative years there, an affable, precocious and inquisitive youngster whose curiosity about everything around him seemed limitless. Then, as an energetic pre-teen, he was interested and enthused by the youthful fads, interests and activities which marked his world: the neighborhood DJ's with their followers and fans at neighborhood parties, the colorful ‘tags’ of local characters which were splashed across fences, parks and buildings, and the loose-jointed "B" boys and break-dancers who enlivened week-end party scenes. In this setting his world was suddenly rife with possibilities and he became convinced that he, too, could DO this! Most in stock items ship in 0 to 5 business depending upon the shipping method selected during checkout.
